You'll arrive in an area with a lot of glowing mushrooms. Keep to the left, follow the path, you'll reach an elevator near some dead otters, take it. Go back up to the area to the North (gear bit #20). Follow the path South and dash across the gap to find the Gear Bit. Deal with the ambush and keep to the left (dash across the gap to the left).
You'll reach an ambush area with a tent in it. Go South, past the Titan, past the intersection ontop of some other stairs. Go back to the intersection ontop of the stairs.
Use the lily pad as a platform to reach it. You'll see the Gear Bit to the right, across the water. In the new area, go to the right, down the stairs until you can't. Go back onto the stone floor and go to the right. Go up and dash to the first platform to the east, then dash up north on the platforms and boats until you get the gear bit. Follow that path east and kill the enemy, then up and back to the west, and up to the elevator.
Having this ability allows the Drifter to stay mobile while adding an extra layer of protection.From the eastern teleporter, go south and take the door to your left. Even though the Dash is already effective at dodging attacks and projectiles, it's not invincible. Bullet AbsorbĪn unusual Dash ability that allows the Drifter to generate a shield that absorbs bullets while dashing. Not only does this ability give them another defense against ranged enemies, but it also allows them to conserve ammo while still being able to deal damage from a distance. Just like in the action movies of yore, this allows the Drifter to swing their sword at projectiles and launch back towards opponents. It's their strongest sword-based attack making it very useful for dealing heavy damage against bosses and taking out multiple enemies in a group quickly. This charge attack allows the Drifter to swing their sword in a large circle hitting multiple enemies. The Drifter will have quite a repertoire of abilities to use and get a feel for, but there are some that are far more useful than others.
